7/11/11/11/10/11

50cl swing top pours clear yet pale copper with gold edges and thin off white head. The faint aroma contains vaguely malty notes with a bit of sweetness and a bit of roasted malts and that’s pretty much it. The taste has modest spicy hop like notes that meekly move over tepidly sweet malts, a touch of caramel malts and a touch of both roasted malt and a lager like yeastiness.

Bottled (BB 04/2010)
Clear amber color, small white head. Cardboardish, caramelly, a bit grassy nose. Typical German märzen: caramel, grassy hoppyness, quite a lot hops actually for German "festbier". Nice balanced, although not overly interesting.

Bottled. Amber colour, small white head. Aroma is wood, some bready malts as well as slightly herbal notes. Flavour is quite much the same with a rather grassy aftertaste. A bit more grassy than many other Märzen(Oktofests I’ve had.

Thanks to MoritzF for this one. The bottle looks good, the beer in the glass also. Starts quite sourish, a bit moldy-fermented. Hoppy-dry in the background. Becomes more and more well balanced. The finish is still sourish, also woody-spicy. Not bad!

(swing top bottle) Clear, amber colour with a medium-sized and slightly off-white foamy head. Sweet mildly toasted (cara-)malty aroma with notes of peanuts and shy herbal hops. Moderately sweet flavour, light to medium body impression (completely fermented/hochvergoren) with a moderate carbonation. Minimal toasty cara-malty and slightly nutty taste with a mildly bitter and slightly herbal and spicy hoppy finish. Could have had more body, otherwise a decent brew. 21.XI.09

Bottle 50 cl. Clear gold with an off-white head. Malty nose with a little caramel. Medium, caramellish malt, some flowery accents and a surprisingly well hopped finish. Very well brewed. 151109
