Deep gold in color, this beer is luminous in the glass. From the very first sip, the full-bodied flavor is immediately perceptible – a balanced harmony of hop and malt aromas.

This was poured into a mug (correct/traditional glassware, screw that proper glassware bs).
Anyways, the appearance was a clear yellow color with a big transparency about it allowing a light carbonation rising to fill a light one finger white foamy head that dissipated nicely. Light rings of foaminess stick nicely.
The smell had a big \"corn-like\" sweetness rolling into sly grassiness. There’s a sweet corn-like aftertaste and a semi-dry finish.
On the palate, this one sat about a light on the body with a purely awesome sessionability about it. Smooth creamy bliss rolls over my tongue.
Overall, best Oktoberfest I’ve ever had. Smell and taste are right on spot. This is what every brewer hopes to brew for the style. Weihenstephaner does it again.

500ml bottle into glass. Sweet malt nose. Slightly cloudy yellow with towering head. A few bubbles ascend. Malty, grainy, a touch of bitterness. Highly drinkable, really nice session beer.

Bottle, 0,50l. Clear golden color with large soapy white head and soft visible carbonation. Aroma is grassy, grainy and herbal. Taste starts with light sweet bready and toasted malt, following is refreshing grassy with dry mouthfeel and moderate bitter finish. Medium body, slick texture and soft carbonation in palate. Good, but not to be thrilled with it...

Draught at Temple Bar Rotschild. Clear golden with a small white head. Aroma of grainy and bready malt and some diacetyl. Sweetish flavor with grainy and bready malt, some butterscotch and a drier finish, mildly bitter and a bit crisp. Light to medium-bodied. Probably better without poe diacetyl (possibly from dirty tap lines?) but still quite easy-drinking.

Good balance, easy drinking. A little yeastier than some of the other classic marzens. Finishes with very light sour note. Bottle at Scion.

Draft pour at Special Brews. Pours a cloudy yellow color. Has a wood like aroma with some light malt. Light body beer with some good hop character to it. Mostly empty finish. Overall a good, easy drinking beer, but nothing spectacular. UPDATE - Cask tapped at Hop and Hound Oktoberfest 2021. Bright golden, nice hop forward nose. Smooth, almost creamy body. Solid festbeir to drink by the mug full.

Tasted from the tap the 12/09/2014. Golden colour with a medium white head. Aroma of malts, cereals, grain and herbal. Taste has some honey but with the predominance of grain. Easy to drink and almost no aftertaste. Average carbonation and light to medium body. Next one please!

330 ml bottle into dimpled mug, bottled on 4/16/2014. Pours fairly crystal clear bright gold color with a 1 finger dense white head with good retention, that reduces to a thin cap that lingers. Light spotty soapy lacing clings on the glass. Aromas of lemon, pear, apple, cracker, bread, light honey, herbal, grass, light pepper, and yeast earthiness. Nice and pleasant aromas with good balance of pale malt, earthy hops, and yeast ester notes; with solid strength. Taste of lemon, pear, apple, cracker, bread, light honey, herbal, grass, light pepper, and yeast earthiness. Slight earthy bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of lemon cracker, bread, light honey, herbal, grass, light pepper, and yeast earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Very nice balance and robustness of pale malt, earthy hops, and yeast ester flavors; with a great malt/bitterness balance and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth, crisp, and clean mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is well hidden with minimal warming present after the finish. Overall this is a very nice pale Oktoberfest style. All around good balance and robustness of pale malt, earthy hops, and yeast ester flavors; and very smooth and crisp to drink. A nicely enjoyable offering.
