Deep gold in color, this beer is luminous in the glass. From the very first sip, the full-bodied flavor is immediately perceptible – a balanced harmony of hop and malt aromas.

7-5-7-4-14 Bottle, ten months before bbd. Pours clear yellow, with a big creamy head. Aroma is pale malts with white bread and hay, as well as herbal hops with grass and floral notes. Full body, with soft carbonation. Flavour is herbal hops with grass and zesty floral notes, as well as malts with bread, hay, honey and leafy minerals. Nice zesty finish. Nothing's really wrong here, yet the very last oumph is missing. Fairly heavy and mouthfilling, although a very balanced and quaffable beer.

Certainly one of the best German festbiers ive had. Good substitute for Corona when eating tacos (although not with hot sauce).

Weihenstephaner Festbier, Flasche von Getränke Hoffmann, Berlin. - Satt goldgelb, blank. (22.8.2020.)

Gold with a frothy to creamy white head. Herbal and bready aroma with a hint of butter. Taste is moderate bitter with a dry, crisp finish. Very mild lemony tartness at the end. Medium bodied, moderate carbonation. Nicely balanced. Okay.

Colour pale amber, clear and a lot of bubbles, good frothy white head, half-way lasting. Aroma grain, sweet malt, grass. Flavour medium sweet and light bitter, malty, grainy, bit sugar. Medium body, watery texture, average carbonation, easy to drink, dry sweetbitter finish, light cardboard, well-balanced, solid, more than nice.

Bottle picked up from REWE, Zolling and consumed at home Attenkirchen, Monday 14th October 2019 in the company of Dad and Pauline. Pouring gold with excellent clarity, a white head sits atop. Clean tasting, nice maltiness, nothing out of the ordinary but good.

Bottle. Rather than an Oktoberfest this is the light style of festbier meant for mass consumption in the Oktoberfest tents. It is Weihenstephaner so still a solid beer, good malt body, very light hops and it is very easy to drink.
