Klare bräunliche Farbe mit weißer Schaumkrone. Malziger, leicht fruchtiger Geruch. Geschmacklich malzig, leicht röstmalzig, Karamell, schwach hopfig. Mittlere Süße mit leichter Bitterkeit, leichter bis mittlerer Körper mit sanfter Kohlensäure.

50cl bottle. A clear orange brown beer with a beige head. Aroma of mild sweet grainy and caramelized malt. Taste of caramelized malt, grains, some liquorice, mild spicy bitterness.

(bottle) Clear, brown colour with a medium-sized and slightly tanned foamy head. Slightly toasted malty nose with ashy and grassy notes, as well as a touch of sulfur. Moderately sweet and slightly bitter flavour, light to medium bodied with a modest carbonation. Slightly bready dark malty taste with shades of caramel and hints of sulphur; sweet and restrained bitter finish. Uninspiring Dunkel. 23.VIII.16

Quite sweet and roasted aroma. The flavour is very roasted, almost smoky. Citric notes as in all their beers. Hint of spicy hops.

From the bottle at Grande Biere 2010 in Tokyo. Rather light, thin, and sweet dunkel without balance or interesting malt character. Probably doesn’t travel well. Not very interesting.

Courtesy of bierkoning, ty Edo! Lightly toasted, grassy hoppy aroma, kind of bock-like. Sweetish caramelly flavor with some toasted notes. Finish has Werters original candy, grassy notes. A bit odd sweet dunkel. Sugar added?
