Imperial Porter is a full bodied, very dark, malty beer with a good roasted character coming from the Crystal, Chocolate and Black Patent Malts used in the mash. Warrior, English Fuggles, and East Kent Goldings Hops balance the malts with a good hop bite. The beer has an OG of 1.070, rounding out after fermentation with just a slight residual sweetness and cutting dry at the finish. 7.1% alcohol by volume.

Robust, sweet, roasty, and a touch lactic. Subtle, piney hops, some wet grass also. Medium bitter finish with a great roasty, coffee aftertaste.

Bottle @ RBESG Grand Tasting 2009. Butter and milk chocolate in the aroma. Diacetyl!," Roast, rancid butter and chocolate in the flavor. Still quite drinkable, in spite of the diacetyl.

Bottled 355ml @Beer Hunters. Rated 2.2.2013.
Dark opaque brown color, tiny brown head. Sticky lactose aroma, hints of Worcester sauce. Medium-bodied. Syrapy, lactose, dark malts, cold coffee. Finish has pleasant sweet maltyness. Aroma and front are not so pleasant but not too bad overall.
