Hoppy? Brother, 471 IPA redefines hoppy. 471 is a small batch, limited edition ale that was created by our Brewmaster to separate the weak from the strong. 471 is a double IPA, that combines Pale, Munich, Caramel-30, Carapils and Torrified Wheat malts, with Chinook, Centennial, Simcoe and Fuggles hops. It has a big sweet mouthfeel, followed by more hoppiness than you've ever had at one time. Enjoy

12oz bottle from Chuck’s poured into a snifter. Pours a dark orange/amber with lots of little chunkies in there. Small amount of bright white head that dissipates quickly but leaves good lacing. Aroma is sweet and bitter. Sweet caramel malt and grassy citrus bitterness from the hops. Taste starts out lightly sweet and ends heavy heavy bitter. You can definitely taste the hops in this one! Full bodied with a thick oily texture, lively carbonation gives way to a long and very bitter finish. Overall, this beer is absolutely awesome! I will definitely be buying this one again if I ever find it again.

11/11/11/12/13/11

Another beer where I don’t get what everyone else does. The alcohol is massively strong on the brew, and the muddled hops add only bitterness to the huge malt load. Very, very warm, even for 9.2%. (11/08)

Pours deep amber into a snifter. Off-white conglomerate head with good retention pancakes and leaves sheets. Tangerine and resin aromas. Sweet citrus upfront followed by a slick earthy resin finish.

Draft at Paradiso Dupont. Golden color, small white head, decent lacing. Aroma of grass and citrus. Taste has lots of citrus and a bit of black pepper. Nice enough.

Tap @ the brewpub, Denver, Co. Pours hazy orange with a white head. Nose is fruity hops, grapefruit, peach, pine. Taste is like nose with floral hops in there aswell, caramelly malt backbone, alcohol is very well hidden. Medium body, soft carbonationed, bitter finish, high drinkability. Good beer.031210

Refrigerated bottle poured into a shaker. Pours clear orange with small white head that dissapates quickly. No lacing, medium carbonation, and floral slight citrus aroma. Taste is floral hops, some piney hops, and finishes with a slight bitterness. Alcohol is well covered.
