Indonesia’s Orang Tua has combined two of the drinkers’ favourite alcoholic drinks Singaraja and Anggur Merah Gold into a new 2-in-1 drink called Abidin. The new Singaraja Abidin or Anggur Bir Dingin taps into the current practice of mixing Singaraja beer with the Anggur Merah Gold (19.7% ABV) wine.

320ml can from Toko Dago, Bandung. Poured a clear reddish brown colour with a short-lived, fizzy off-white head. The aroma is herbal cough sweets. The flavour is moderate sweet, with a crisp, red berry fruit, herbal, light floral, light alcohol bitter palate. Medium bodied with average carbonation. Not the worst “beer” I’ve ever had, but I would not buy a second can.
