A brew you can drink for breakfast. A beer to reward yourself with after a hard day's work. Or if your hard day's work is mowing the lawn, consider drinking on the job. Weighing in at 4.5 ABV, Rudie begins with a big fruity hop aroma of pears and watermelon candy, but is relatively low in actual bitterness, lending itself perfectly to those moments when you want to drink beer, but need to hold it together - or not.

Can. Clear, golden body under a dense, finger-thick white head. Lots of piney, resiny and grapefruity hops in the aroma, with a faint touch of pale malts. Almost like opening a bag of citrusy American hops. It’s a bit thin on the palate, with a nice carbonation and it’s quite dry and bitter. Not really thin though, after all it’s just 4.5% ABV. Lots of citrusy, piney hops in the flavor, and a lasting finish. A really refreshing and tasteful one, could easily drink a few of these. 150724

Draught @Bishop’s arms, Linköping. Amber colored, thin white head, nice lacing. Berryish, light, cranberries in aroma. Flavor similar, tart berries, cranberries like, some grapefruit later on. Crisp, fresh, the finish is really ok. Light.

12 oz. can into a pint glass best by 08/09/2015 A: Cloudy dirty gold with a lasting half inch of tight beige foam with a few big bubbles rising slowly. Laces like a beast! S: Sweet smell of tangerine and little pine. A light pale malt also. T: Ahh there’s the pine! Not a strong taste but definitely piney with citrus pith filling in the flavor. Bitter on the back end and finishes fairly quickly and cleanly. A hint of sweetness from the malts. It is better balanced than some. M: Light and a bit flat on the mouth despite average carbonation levels. O: Pretty good SIPA but in the 2nd tier of favorites for sure. Not much to make it memorable but worth a try if you like the style.

Draught @ Taylor and Jones with a twist. Typical light and clean session IPA with a low sweetness and medium bitterness. But I like it.

Can. Light haze on this gold beer, good pale cream colour head. Palate is airy and semi dry with modest fine carbonation. Light pale malts with light and sweetish cream. Modest mango and orange. Trace of pine. Smooth semi dry finish. Pleasant but so very very polite.

Can. Hop Hideout, Sheffield. Dark gold, with a light haze. Film of white head. Nice, orangey hop. Sweet, banana toffee malts. Hint of pineapple. Smells good. Taste is light, crispy bitter. Turns light dry. Clean, crisp palate. Finishes short, zesty bitter. Very chuggable.
