Proper Job is dedicated to the 32nd (Cornwall) Regiment who stoutly defended their garrison during the Indian Mutiny in 1857-58. Throughout
the siege the traditional "Sunset Ceremony" (beating the retreat and lowering the national flag) was ignored as an act of defiance to the mutineers. In recognition of a "Proper Job" Queen Victoria awarded the 32nd the honour.

Clear and golden with a frothy white head a soft aroma of sweet, light malt. Smooth, bitter with some floral hop character and a smidge of sweet citrus towards the dry finish

Cask: Poured a blonde color ale with a large white foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of light bitter hops notes with some dry leafy hops is nice. Taste is also a mix of dry bitter hops with some nice dry leafy hops notes. Body is about average for style w with good carbonation. Enjoyable English IPA.

Cask at Kings Head in Marazion. Helder goudgele kleur, witte kraag. Citrus, lychee, druiven, ook die typische Golden Ale smaak die ik slecht kan omschrijven behalve als ‘groen’, maar niet per sé heel prettig vind. Lichte body. Degelijke hoppige Golden Ale. Zal nog een flesje aanschaffen ter vergelijking.

Older tasting note: dark yellow/orange pour; aromas of malt, toast, fruits. Taste adds some more hops for a decent finish.
