Proper Job is an authentic IPA brewed with Cornish spring water and malt made from a blend of malts including Cornish grown Maris Otter barley.
Proper Job is dedicated to the 32nd (Cornwall) Regiment who stoutly defended their garrison during the Indian Mutiny in 1857-58. Throughout
the siege the traditional "Sunset Ceremony" (beating the retreat and lowering the national flag) was ignored as an act of defiance to the mutineers. In recognition of a "Proper Job" Queen Victoria awarded the 32nd the honour.

Tasted from the tap on the 14/06/2015. Golden to amber colour with medium white head. The aroma is honey fruit citrus. The flavour is medium bitter with an earthy, sweet fruit hop palate. Medium bodied with soft carbonation and a light smooth fruit bitter finish. Next one please!

Cask at the Henry Addington, canary wharf. Bonus tick, I thought I had had this beer already when I ordered it. Nice clear golden coloured pour with a lasting steadfast creamy head.. Aroma is a little hop resin grass and pine, little subdued English yeast esters. Some berry. Flavour is light grains, biscuity grains, little resin, grass, hedgerow hop. Palate is really nicely conditioned, moderate carbonation, medium full bodied. Really drinkable.

On tap, half pint at The Argyll Arms, London. Clear deep golden color with thin creamy off-white head and average sparkling appearance. Aroma of citrus, peach, flowers and caramel malt. Taste starts moderate sweet and rich malty with resinous and fruity following with moderate bitter finish. Medium body, oily texture and soft carbonation in palate. Pretty mild, very sessionable, but still great...

Cask at the Cherub, Dartmouth. Good US hoppiness up front- bitter lemon and grapefruit- but then not a lot happens afterwards. Needs a bit more malt in there to give it a bit more body and oomph. Not overly convinced by this one. It’s OK I suppose.

Cask at Taps Beer Bar, Kuala Lumpur. Poured a clear medium amber with a frothy white head and lots of broken lace. The aroma is honey fruit citrus. The flavour is medium bitter with an earthy, sweet fruit hop palate. Medium bodied with soft carbonation and a light smooth fruit bitter finish. Compared to the bottled version there is less hops and a whole lot more fruit. Very drinkable.
