Lattina. Il gusto al naso è indirizzato verso pane nero, caffè, cioccolato, pepe e cuoio. L'olfatto viene stimolato in maniera elevata e l'esistenza olfattiva è apprezzabile. Il cappello di schiuma ha una buona tenuta. La grandezza delle bollicine è a medio-fine con qualche bollicina grande. Il colore è scuro impenetrabile. Il corpo è strutturato. L'amaro è pronunciato. La forza gustativa è elevata e la permanenza è buona. Le sensazioni boccali finali risultano di birra beverina. Il retrogusto è intenso. Al gusto vengono donati toni di miele, cioccolato, caffè, liquirizia, pane tostato, luppolo, un accenno di resinoso, agrumi, frutto della passione, fragola, pino, pesca e ananas.

Can from the Vineyard, Belfast. Appearance - deep black with an olive sheen. Nose - smoke, liquorice and dark chocolate. Taste - coffee, smoke and liquorice. Dark chocolate. Palate - medium bodied. Roasty finish. Overall - good. But more of a hopped stout than a Black IPA.

Can at ash's. Pours brown, nose is roasted, mandarin, toffee, taste is roasted, dry, ashes, bitter.

Can thanks to Ashton McCobb. Pours hazy near black with a thick beige head. Aromas of citrus, pine, liquorice. Taste is light bitter, more liquorice. Menthol almost.

ABV: 5.6%. Clear dark black brown colour with a large, frothy to creamy, good lacing, mostly lasting, beige head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, roasted, dark malt, moderate to heavy hoppy, pine, citrus, grapefruit, licorice. Flavor is moderate sweet and bitter with a long duration, roasted, dark malt, licorice, wood, grapefruit, pine, thin, dry. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft. [20210727]

Can from Beerdome. Black with a beige head. Aroma is sweet, malty, roasted malt and moderate hoppy - pine. Flavor is medium sweet and rather bitter. Dry and rather bitter finish. 210721
