Sampled @ Billie's Craft Beer Fest 2024, Saturday. Almost black beer with a white lacing. Aroma and Taste of strong dark caramelized malt, chocolate, liquorice, bread.

Bottle. An unclear dark brown beer with a small beige head leaving some lacing. Brown sugar, dark dried fruit, some bready roasted malts and a light spiced hint in the aroma. Raisin, prune. Alcohol, toffee, some coffee. It's sweet and full-bodied, warming and nicely carbonated, with a nice bitterness. Brown sugar, dark dried fruit, some roasted malts and hints of coffee in the flavor. Some spiced hints too. Lasting sweet, warming finish. And finally some honey kicking in. A bit too sweet, but nice indeed. 241110

9-4-8-5-17 Bottle, #07241, seven months after bottling. Pours black, with a creamy mocha head. Aroma is dark roasted malts with bread, dark fruits, honey and cocoa, as well as tannins and red wine barrels. Full body, with very soft carbonation. Flavour is dark roasted malts with bread, liquorice, coffee and dark fruits, as well as tannins and wooden barrels.
