Notater fra Bergen Ølfestival, en alle tiders ettermiddag på Verftet i lag med Børge&Karen. Fra fat: mørkebrun med kort skum. Sjokoladekake med dynket med madeira og bringebær. Saftig, fyldig og med mild bitterhet. Vi har snart ikke flere bonger igjen, så stemningen er helt på topp.

Bottle @ home. Almost black body under a big, stable, dense beige head. Milder in aroma than Three sheets, still lots of dark malt, dry fruit, hint of oak and vinous alcohol. Taste is smooth dark malt, dry fruit, brown sugar, oak, vinous alcohol and balanced bitterness. Taste is a bit milder than Three sheets, sweeter and less alcoholic. Full body with long lasting aftertaste. Strong, sweet and nice.

Aroma is sweet boozy, caramel malts, dried dark fruits, old rope, fruit stones, spices, oak, dark sugar, leather, cough syrup. Taste is sweet sour-ish boozy, dried dark fruits, oak, fruit stones, dark sugar, old rope, cough syrup, alcohol, spices, caramel malts, leather. Medium bitterness, sweet sour-ish boozy mouthfeel. Nice.
