Scottish 80 shilling ale, brewed with Golden promise, black oats, and a delicious heritage variety of rye malt (“Tvengsberg”). If you could magically turn a dad into a beer, they would be this reasonably brown, dependably reliable, and malt forward style.

It tastes of cosy autumn nights with slight toffee and red fruits, and it’s a super easy going 4.5%.

Sample, thanks fonefan! Clear mahogany colour, small head. Aroma of fudge and ashy licorice. Mid sweet with medium body and rounded mouthfeel. Gentle, fairly deep dudgy malt. Mid bitter finish.

Thanks fonefan! Amber colour, small off-white head. Aroma is spiciness, some toffee, mild alcohol tones with some fudge to it. Flavour is spices, dried fruits, toffee, mild alcohol and some slight wooden tones.

Can from Kvickly Odder @ Home. Pours clear amber with an offwhite head. Aroma of malt, caramel, little dark dried fruit. Flavor is sweet, malty, caramel, dried fruit. Medium body, average carbonation, sweet finish. 140125

44cl can. Pours clear deep copper coloured with a modest, tanned head. Malty aroma with toffee, caramel, toasted malt and hints of bread and biscuits. Sweet, malty and tasty with a fairly mild bitterness. Decent stuff!
