Bottled. Poured a purplish brown. Settled quickly without a ton of head. Aroma is plums and dark fruits, taste is like that with some malts although not a ton. Not too many hops but well done.

Backlog. Shared bottle at Mi2 at Cardinal 06.05.13. Dark brown. Sweet aroma of prunes, tobacco box and port. Well-balanced taste with dark malt and hops. Coffee and bitter hops in aftertaste. Appropriate mouthfeel, Quaffable!

Draft @ Sunset Grill & Tap. Dark brown thick yeasty pour, lasting head. Aromas of dark fruits, candi sugar, pumpernickel bread, and lots of yeast earthiness. Deep layers of yeast and earth.
Flavor is a mirror of the aroma with a spicy element that reminds me of a Christmas based dark ale. Almost like a nutmeg, cloves and licorice. The two separate yeast strain helps to give a layer of complexity. Body is on the full side with a chewy yeasty texture. The alcohol is covered nice with all the layers of yeast, spice and malts. Still a light burn after the sip, this was a nice finish to my 5 hour long session at Sunset Grill & Tap.

Brown colour, some beige foam. Medium body, medium carbonation. Aroma of caramel, brown sugar and hops. Balance between sweet and bitter. Good but nothing special.

Bottle. Pours a dark amber ruby color with a small off-white head. Has a fruity malty spicy caramel with weak hints of dark fruit. Slightly sweetish malty spicy caramel bitter flavor with weak trash hints. Had a sweetish malty spicy bitter caramel finish.
