A full-bodied dark porter with the most delicious spices: Cinnamon, cardamom, ginger, pepper and cloves, all carefully adapted to the beer.
A beer that is good to enjoy after the most delicious Christmas food, and can easily be

thoughts to warmth and Christmas when you smell it.
Should be served at cellar temperature (10-12 degrees) to bring out the full flavor.

Flaska från SB. Julöl 2013 i lokala sortimentet. En ett år gammal flaska. Kolsvart lågt snabbt försvinnande skum. En kryddig porter med lite söt alkoholstickig doft. Kryddig smak med malört, nejlika, muskot, anis över en ganska söt stark porter som saknar lite kropp och fyllighet.

From bottle at DSJT at Cardinal 09.11.14. Black. Pale brown head. Aroma of Yule-spices, anise, vegetables and cough syrup. Similar taste. Bitter cough medicine in aftertaste.

500 ml bottle, probably from Vinmonopolet. Or from Denmark. BB date 18. Febr. 2014. Batch #RØ297. ABV is 7.8%. Pitch black colour, moderate to low tan head. Strong aroma of Christmas spices (cinnamon, cardamom, ginger, pepper and cloves, according to the commercial description). The cinnamon is dominant. Also notes of coffee and chocolate. Medium sweet (but not cloying) and malty flavour, notes of coffee and chocolate, plenty of said Christmas spices. Not bad.

Bottled. A black beer with no head. The aroma is sweet malty with notes of herbs. The flavor is sweet malty with notes of roasted malt and some spices, leading to a dry roasted finish.

50 cl bottle from EuroSpar Læsøgade Frederikshavn, Denmark. BB 23 marts 2014. Sampled on December 26, 2013. Batch RØ291.Black color, ver small dark brown head. Sweet, alcohol, spicy scent. Thin, malty, grainy taste. Light metallic aftertaste, also sweet and some toffee. Sort of thin fizzy mouthfeel, medium bitterness.Couldn’t quite make up my mind on this one, the beer sort of points in various directions and can’t seem to decide what it wants to really be in the end.

Bottled, from Systembolaget. Near black, small beige head. Spicy nose with nutmeg and caramel. Mid sweet with solid body and rounded mouthfeel. Macadam nuts and fudge, notes of coffee, plenty of nutmeg. Fairly low bitterness.

Bottle @ Jesperhus Camping. Pours black with a light brown head. Aroma of roasted malt, chocolate, little coffee, cinnamon. Flavor is roasted malts, chocolate, coffee, very spicy with loads of cinnamon. Medium body, lively carbonation. Abit to overdone with the spices. 0800613
