A full-bodied dark porter with the most delicious spices: Cinnamon, cardamom, ginger, pepper and cloves, all carefully adapted to the beer.
A beer that is good to enjoy after the most delicious Christmas food, and can easily be
the full replacement for the normal companions to the coffee. The spices lead
thoughts to warmth and Christmas when you smell it.
Should be served at cellar temperature (10-12 degrees) to bring out the full flavor.

Opaque black beer brown beer. Residual tan head. Semi soft and semi dry palate. Sweetish dark malt with a little coffee. Mild spices, not overdone. Carbonated nip. Dry finish. Hangs together okay and goes down easy.

Sampled from 50cl bottle thanks to Joes. Pitch black, opaque color, small to medium sized medium brown head that disappears quickly and leaves a fair lacing. Smell malts, a lot of herbs, mostly cinnamon, the rest I don’t know. Taste malts, sweetness, again a lot of herbs or spices, slightly roasty, a hint of bitter. Full, a bit fizzy carbonation, medium body. Not my thing at all.

Pitch black, opaque with a very nice mocca head. Smells herbs, coffee, jagermeister, roasty, cinnamon, applepie without the apples. Tastes coffee, some chocolate, ’pepernoten’, cinnamon. Very long lasting aftertaste, lovely. Full body, fizzyish carbo. Should be a little bit softer and less carbonated. Still a great beer though.

Opaque black color, steady beige creamy head. Roasted malty aroma, licorice, soya sauce. Medium-bodied. Flavor is similar to nose: roasted with licorice and soya but also some Christmasy spices. Nice Xmas porter, aged gently.
