Spur is a massive in-house favourite here at Polly’s with Arron routinely naming it as his favourite beer that we produce, and the proof is in the pudding – the hop bill of Azacca, Citra and Simcoe bounces with Um-Bongo levels of tropical flavour, featuring a full on fruit salad of papaya, peach, tangerine and mango on both the nose and flavour. Slathered with our LA3 yeast culture for massive hop suspension, this is a beer that is 100% hazy, dank, and juicy.

Two thirds of a pint; Keg. The Coracle, Ironbridge on 2nd Aug 2021. Hazy/cloudy yellow body, white topping. All about the citrussy hops, not much else to say really.

440ml can as Polly's Spur, bought at Vinmonopolet Langnes. Horizontal tasting of four IPA beers from Polly's Brew. Shared with Finn. Remaining white head over a cloudy golden body, lacing rings down the glassware. Quite fresh hop fruity aromas of pineapple, citrus, and oat. The taste profile follows suit with pineapple, dried fruit, and juicy oats. Satisfying fruity bitterness to the finish. Pretty good.(Tromsø 15.05.2021).

Taster, many thanks to Sander! Orange, hazy body, with a big, creamy, lacing, off-white head. Aroma of apricot, mango, melon, lemon, oats, vanilla, some dankness. Tastes similar, with more earthy notes. Medium, a bit creamy mouthfeel, with an average carbonation. Finishes smooth and crisp, moderate bitter, a bit sweet, piney, oaty, a bit dank, with moderate juicy fruits. Tasty! Very smooth and balanced, with beautiful, fresh fruits and just enough oaty body and hop spiciness. The perfect, smooth finish is my highlight, which leads to even more drinkability. Very quaffable stuff. Score: 8 / 4 / 8 / 5 / 16

440ml can. Murky, yellow-ish, pale golden colour with average, frothy, half-way lasting, minimally lacing, white head. Oaty and woody, fruity, hoppy aroma, hints of woody pineapple, an amalgam of sweat and peanut, cherry and banana. Taste is dry, piney and minimally citrusy fruity hoppy, oaty and nutty malty basis, hints of peanut, pineapple, a touch of lemon, cherry and banana. Can't find anything that would make this one special.
