Bottle 33 cl. Pours a clear, dark reddish brown with an off-white head. Distinct, tart winey aroma - quite delicious. There's plenty of tart berries up there and great woody notes. Medium body only, the tartness takes the fattiness out of the Quad, making it thinner, less sweet but perhaps also less complex - the sweet, dried fruit notes are not really playing anymore. However, in the far finish there's actually some sweetness left. But otherwise, it's a really great barrel aging, with the barrel really giving the beer a lot of character. 300718

Bottle from the brewery. Clear, very dark red brown with beige head. Aroma has red wine, barrel, plums and cherries. Sweet flavour with some vinous acidity to begin with. Malty, slightly caramely with sourish, sweet red berries. Light alc warmth. Nice.
