Tastes like candy soaked in 12% beer. At a rock show.

Draft pour at Crooked Run - Central. Poured a nearly pitch black color with a small, wispy light tan head. Aroma was acetone, nail polish, paint thinner. Some rum? Flavor is much better, but wow - the aroma is really a huge turn off. Not sure what was going on with this one unfortunately. I'll try again down the road... just a little weird. I hate to crap on almost any beer, especially local ones, but this just missed the mark entirely. Way too much rum barrel? I don't know. Maybe blending with the base beer would smooth out some of the harshness? It's the only beer I've had from these people that I haven't finished.
