Hibiscus IPA
It’s almost summertime. Hop bines are growing up to 6 inches a day. Hibiscus is in full bloom. And in Crimson Pistil, the two get in a glorious tangle of berry-like tanginess, sunset technicolor and sticky tropical notes.
We taste: passionfruit, tart berry, grapefruit zest, summer meadow
Malt: Pilsner, Vienna
Hops: Azacca, Nugget, Vic Secret
Yeast: House Ale

Kroger bottle. Pours pinkish with an off-white head. Nice grapefruit and hibiscus aroma. Flavor is indiscernible berry, pine, lightly floral, pine. Good.

12 ounce bottle. Orange copper color. Frothy beige head leaves behind a mosaic white lace. Floral hop notes command your attention as you envelope the bouquet. First sip is tart and toasty with notes of Sour Milk Sea. Bitter hops step up and produce a citrusy, berry tangled fruit bowl. Interesting, if nothing else.

Sampled on draft this beer poured a red-orange color with a large foamy white head that left decent lacing. The aroma was passion fruit and cactus. The flavor was sweet fruits, pine and cactus. Long finish. Medium body. Ok.
