All hail the mighty Budgie and their classic "Power Supply" album. Get smacked in the face with some hops and alcohol why dontcha? With Mosaic, Columbus and Simcoe hops.

12oz can. Poured a dark golden amber color with a medium sized white head. Aroma was a blast of floral, herbal notes. Lots of dankness. Blast of tropical fruits, but it doesn't stick around for long. Bitter, juicy. Nice resin notes. Solid stuff.

Cask Pour. Pours dirty golden amber / arnold palmer esque. Medium white head, dissipates slowly, decent lacing. Aroma is dank, armpits, pot, sweat, overripe mangos. Flavor is light sweet, light bitter. Dank. Medium body, low carbonation, a bit lifeless.

Slightly hazy copper and peach coloured body with a dense, thick, seven centimetre tall off-white head. Aroma of crisp and very fruity hops with a nice grapefruit tartness, but also some from tropical fruits. Some malt and alcohol noticeable as well, but the dominant aroma is definitely the hops. Medium-bodied; Strong hoppy flavour of grass, resin, rich malts and a nice pleasant fruity flavour towards the end with a bigger dose of flowers and light spices than typically seen in an IPA. Aftertaste shows a nice grapefruity hoppiness with some very light tropical fruits, but also some alcohol noticeable, a very nice malt backbone to balance it all out and ending with a touch of the sweetness from fruits. Overall, a very nice Imperial IPA that borders on being a traditional IPA, showing a great balance, some elegant layers of fruit flavours and a pleasant sweetness with hardly any alcohol showing at all - very nice. Great to sample and worth trying to find if you like the style and are in the mid-atlantic. I sampled this twelve ounce can purchased from Whole Foods in Pentagon City (Arlington), Virginia on 05-December-2017 for US$2,49 sampled at home in Washington in front of the store on 15-January-2018.

12 oz can poured into a tulip. Clear golden orange with off-white head. Aromas of citrus, floral notes, pine, light garlic. Tastes of orange citrus, floral notes, pine, light malt. Medium body with a semi-dry finish. Nice DIPA.
