500ml bottle [courtesy of Grumbo - thank you, Graham!]. Clear, dark chestnut colour with average, thick, frothy, to creamy, moderately lasting, minimally lacing, beige head. Nutty, leafy, woody and slightly fruity aroma, notes of toasted nuts, some coffee, toffee, hints of red berries. Taste is sweet-ish, toasty dark malty, slightly nutty and woody, slightly fruity and leafy, dry hoppy, notes of toffee, toasted nuts, a touch of caramel, red berries, some coffee. Creamy, oily texture, smooth and soft, minimally cloying palate, fine and soft, mildly prickly carbonation. Quite rich, well balanced, harmonious - very nice.
