Nutty, leafy, woody and slightly fruity aroma, notes of toasted nuts, some coffee, toffee, hints of red berries. Taste is sweet-ish, toasty dark malty, slightly nutty and woody, slightly fruity and leafy, dry hoppy, notes of toffee, toasted nuts, a touch of caramel, red berries, some coffee. Creamy, oily texture, smooth and soft, minimally cloying palate, fine and soft, mildly prickly carbonation. Quite rich, well balanced, harmonious - very nice.

Bottle from Beers Of Europe. Clear ruby body with a thick beige head. Steady carbonation. Faint lacing. Aroma of earth, raspberry and wood. Flavour of fruit cake and plum. Medium body with a slick mouthfeel. Soft fizz. A simple, easy drinking beer.
