Cask at The Welly. It pours clear deep mahogany brown with a thick, foamy beige head. The aroma is earthy, toasted nut, leathery, spice, dried leaves, twig, dirt and rivita. The taste is firmly dry, bitter, earthy, wood, leather, bark, tannin, black tea, spice, toasted nut, bit of treacle and brown bread weigh a drying finish. Medium body and soft carbonation. Brilliant condition makes this beer shine. A quality and flavourful mild ale. Tasty.

Cask at the joint stock.a clear reddy amber coloured pour with a loose tan head. Aroma is nutty, jammy fruits, cake, nutty. Flavour is composed of si sweet, layered malt, toffee, burnt sugars, cakey malts. Dried fruits. Palate is rounded, moderate carbonation. Ok.

Cask at the Old Joint Stock, pre Cotts Convention IV warm up act, 23/06/18. Rich mahogany brown with a decent beige covering. Nose is nutty, toffee, dried fruits, brown bread, biscuit, pinch of spice. Taste comprises fruit slice, tobacco, brown bread, raisins, toffee, biscuit crumbs. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, drying close. Solid mild.

Cask at the Old Joint Stock - Birmingham. Pours red-brown with a frothy, khaki head. Nice brown bread, a little earth, dried dark berries, a little roast and coffee. Light bodied with fine carbonation; good condition. Balanced finish, bitter, some ash, more dried berries. Solid.

Cask at Post Office Vaults. Dark brown with ring of bubbly head. Roasty, nutty chocolate aroma. Big flavors of chocolate and coffee, thick and meaty. Another great mild.

Cask @ Lych Gate Tavern, Wolverhampton. Hazy dark red brown with a brown head. Aroma is sweet, malty, roasted malt and dark fruit. Flavor is medium sweet and light bitter. Sweet and roasted light bitter finish. 280717

Cask @ Lych Gate Tavern, Wolverhampton. Nice head with good duration. Color is dark brown. Aroma and taste are roast malt, chocolate, caramel, fruits and hops. Long bitter finish.

Cask @ Cherry-Reds Cafe Bar, Birmingham. Dark reddish-brown with a very thin head. Has a mild dark-malt sweetness in both aroma and taste.
