Cask-conditioned at Gloucester Beer Festival, 31/3/2017. Deep brown in colour, with a thin, off-white, head. Chocolate notes, red berry fruits, a hint of leafy hop, brown sugar, gentle malts with a touch of toastiness and soft finish. A superb mild and my beer of the festival.

0.1 l on tap at ’The Shakespeare’. Clear, dark red to brown with an off-white head. Sweetish, malty and slightly roasty aroma of caramel, nuts and some chocolate. Quite sweet, malty, a bit roasty and minimally fruity taste of lots of caramel, nuts, some chocolate and hints of dark fruits, followed by a short, moderately bitter, slightly roasty finish. Medium body, slightly creamy mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Quite nice, really well-made Mild!
