New England-Style IPAs are all the rage. Fans of Stone repeatedly ask for our take on the style, which can be met with some criticism. Rooted in West-Coast style IPAs for decades, how would we do it? Fear no more. Our brewers took the approach to deliver incredibly hoppy and aromatic flavor while keeping it very balanced, and upping the alcohol unnoticeably - nailing this astounding one-of-a-kind creation.
Overall this unfiltered double IPA is juiced up with massive tropical & citrus notes. The mild bitterness and relatively dry body compliment the style, and the residual maltiness nicely rounds it out. Lingering lime peel and tropical fruit derived from the hops stand out on the finish, begging one to seek out more.

The aroma of fresh hops envelops!

Tap at FOB, Rimini, Italy. Pours transparent amber gold, with moderate very fine, white foam. Aroma is sweet of cereal, and fruity, tropical, almost honey. Body is average, with good carbonation. Taste is markedly bitter, complemented by a nice dose of malt, truly a west coast IPA. Final is fairly long and bitter.

Can. Hoppy and malty aroma and taste, light citrus fruit, ripped fruit, light resin, light sweet, medium bitter. Medium to full body, malty and hoppy fruity bittet finish with light alcohol warming notes. Good.

Tap at 100 piv. Not hazy at all. Perceivably strong, slightly boozy too. Med-full body, moderate carbonation. Moderate caramelly maltiness. Bitterness barely keeps up with the malt, while hops aromatics do not reach the levels needed to come through clearly. Resiny, zesty, grassy. All in all drinkable, but rather average.

Can, 0.473l. Hazy copper/amber pour, one finger soapy off-white head. Good retention, long lasting. Lots of lacing on the glass as it goes down. Nose is somewhat malty and herbal, caramel, fruity background. Thin to medium body, soft carbonation. Light texture, soft and smooth mouthfeel, goes down quite nicely. Medium bitter taste with subtle sweet notes. Quite dry. Aroma of caramel malt, peach, orange peel. Tropical touches, mild alcohol. Pine. Lingering bitterness, herbal background. Long lasting finish, dry and slightly liquory. Not bad.

Can. Amber beer with a cream head. Grapefruit and pine aroma with light tropical fruit. Tropical fruit and light berry flavor with grapefruit and pine. Medium bodied. Good bitterness. tropical fruit and berry linger with grapefruit and pine.
