New England-Style IPAs are all the rage. Fans of Stone repeatedly ask for our take on the style, which can be met with some criticism. Rooted in West-Coast style IPAs for decades, how would we do it? Fear no more. Our brewers took the approach to deliver incredibly hoppy and aromatic flavor while keeping it very balanced, and upping the alcohol unnoticeably - nailing this astounding one-of-a-kind creation.
Overall this unfiltered double IPA is juiced up with massive tropical & citrus notes. The mild bitterness and relatively dry body compliment the style, and the residual maltiness nicely rounds it out. Lingering lime peel and tropical fruit derived from the hops stand out on the finish, begging one to seek out more.

16 oz can from Brewers Haven. Dark amber pour, small skin of off-white head, rings of lacing, lazy carbonation. Aroma is citrus, then caramel, hint of floral. Taste walks the tightrope between hazy and West Coast perfectly, offering the best of both worlds. Thick and chewy, caramel sweetness and citrus peel at the finish. Really enjoyable.

13 March 2020. Pre-Lockdown (in hindsight) Tasting with Anke & Pieter. Beer based on the principle of 'what 3 words', a new standard for location that assigns a unique 3 word address to each 3m square in the world. Fear/Movie/Lions is a square in Stone's Richmond brewery where the recipe was created. I feel this should have been in the beer's description! Anyway. Pours hazy golden-orange with a lasting, thin, foamy, off-white head. Aroma of ripe orange, mango, band-aid, wort, dark honey, peach. Taste has sweet orange, mango, bit dank with bitter orange peel, grapefruit & pine, and slick honey maltiness underneath. Dry, floral yet resinous hoppy finish, lingering spices & ripe fruit. Medium body, oily texture, soft carbonation. Darn good brew, East Coast profile mixing with West Coast bitterness.

Huge, orangey head, extremely lacey, over veiled orange-ochre beer. Grapefruit a mile out upon opening, bit soapy aroma, citruspeel, hopoils & lupulin onslaught. Bitter, hoppy, with a faint orange-like sweetness lurking behind. Lots of resins, kumquat, unripe strawberries, even a hint at nutmeg. Very hopoil determined; oily, bit burning feel, utterly slick with medium carbonation. Long lasting citrussy/bitter flavours. Typical, if rather unidimensional Westcoast-flavoured and Eastcoast trouble DIPA.

Fat Skaal 2020 Äntligen en USA Stone Dipa 👍sedan misslyckade sk Stone Berlin försvann yeeees. Klar dryck i Weast coast Shadow picture utseende. Jävla tjat hu smakar den? Jo torr , ekigt inslag , tallbarr, vitt vin . Fasen en Weast coast Dipa ju. Bra öl . Lagom kolsyrad och lagom tydlig beska. Välgjord . Nu återtestad 2022 och håller med om 2020 års beskrivning förutom jag lägger till äpplen och lite päron. Samt höjer betyget . Jävligt god Dipa

Can picked up from Craftbeer-Shop Webshop, Germany and consumed at home Attenkirchen Thursday 5th March 2020 whilst listening to Steve Lamaqs Round Table on 6Music and cooking Chilli Con Carne, homemade Salsa and Guacamole. Pours orange/amber with a large frothy off white head. Lots of orange, hazy, streaky bitterness, a little pithy, really, really good. Soft in the mouth, wow bloody great, okay it's a little sweet but taste is marvellous, bloody marvellous.

Clear orange beer, big creamy yellowish head, stable, adhesive, leaving a nice lacing in the glass. Aroma: some tropical fruits, floral, some citrus, bit spicy, dank, bit soapy. MF: ok carbon, medium body. Taste: bitter start, resinous hops, bit fruity, some bitter orange peel, bit malty, soft hop bitterness, nice, some alcohol, good stuff! Aftertaste: bit sweetish, soft oxidation noticeable, some honey, floral, bit soapy, nice bitterness, bit resinous, bit resinous, pineapple, some papaya, almonds.

Tap at Beer Hunters. Clear copper colour, medium-sized beige head and lace. Ryeish, resiny aroma. Medium-bodied. Caramalt, pine and resin in the flavour. Nice old school DIPA. Aroma tells that not the most freshiest batch but quite drinkable.
