The first of its kind in the world is exactly what we like to find here at Craved, and this pear ice wine doesn't disappoint. Once Upon a Tree's award-winning wonder pear ice wine is rich and distinctive in colour, exceptional in it's intense flavour and certainly worth every penny. Even though it is meant to be enjoyed as a light tipple or as a desert wine, we wouldn't fault you for going in for another glass right away.

375ml bottle, 2011 vintage. Bottle sourced from Gloucester Servives on the M5. Pours clear honey golden with a slim white head. Aroma: sweet with ripe pears, stewed apples & caramel. Taste: medium to heavy sweet, sweet apple & pear, honey, toffee, cinnamon hints. Medium bodied with light carbonation. An interesting beverage, and bloody tasty (and dangerous).

Bottle split at CBC Islington, belated Tipple 10K, thanks to Fergus 18/12/18. Clear rich golden with a moderate off white covering that dissipates edgeward. Nose is sweet apples, pear drop, sugars, sweet notes. Taste comprises glazed apple, sweet and syrupy ... in a good way, cherry bakewell icing, apple pulp, sugars. Full bodied, smooth and oily feel, gullet warmer as it slips down. Solid.
