Old for new. For this beer we travelled to Siren Craft Brew to select white and red wine casks, some as old as four years. Then the guys journeyed to Scotland to choose from our young barrels. The results were balanced at OverWorks and refermented on local Elgin blackberries and Italian culinary sage. Yielding a complex, rustic beer that is not just a blend of barrels, but a blend of tastes, times and dedication to craft. This is collaboration t it's most powerful and fundamental.

Keg at BD Castlegate. It poursclear deed purple with a small pinkish head. The aroma is sweet - sour, juicy, tangy, loads of blackcurrant, herbal, earthy, funk, oily, fruit cordial and earth. The taste is crisp, dry, tart, crazy puckering, loads of blackcurrant, zingy, bramble, raspberry pip, touch of alcohol, granny smith apple, sherbet, dull herbal, sherbet and sour candy with a dry finish. Medium body and fine, prickly carbonation. Bright, fruity and sour. Tasty.
