33 cl bottle from Meny supermarket poured in to a Tulip. Bottle neck says Untouched by monks... ha-ha...Slightly hazy dark amber colour with a fluffy lightly tanned head. Fruity aroma with citrus, caramel and chocolate malts, rye bread. Taste is light bitter. Medium bodied. Drying fruity finish with lingering dark malts. Nice, a more pronunsed bitterness would be nice.

Bottle 33 cl. Pours a hazy, dark, nutty brown with a smallish, off-white head. Maty nose, toasted malt with a very faint hint of hops. Medium body, now more roasty, some licorice and some bitterness and a slight, underlying malt bitterness, licorice style. The hops in here are mostly of the bittering kind. 111121

Bottled. An amber beer with a lazing beige head. The aroma has notes of caramel, citrus fruis, herbs, flowers, and malt. The flavor is sweet with notes of nutes, caramel, citrus fruits, herb, flowers, and malt, leading to a bitter finish. Odd inbetween beer

Thuis uit een flesje. Bruinig, licht troebel. Matig aroma en te licht wat betreft hoppigheid voor een ipa. Ook nasmaak wat vlak.

Bottle. Brown/amber with a small beige head. Aroma is very fruity: tangerines, oranges and a little bit of tropical fruits. Taste is even more fruitiness with caramel, roasted malts and just hints of chocolate. Moderate bitterness. Medium carbonation. Balanced. Nice.

330ml bottle from TBS in Moscow. Gushes upon opening. Pours hazy dirty orange with a tall off-white head. Aroma is citrus, caramel malt, dusty. Taste is the same with moderate sweetness and some piney/resinous hops too. Medium bitter finish. Not that great. And not a Black IPA.

Bottle from a gift basket (Bottle Shop Bruges) - thanks, Jerre, Kenny, Lisa & Tycho! GUSHER alert! Hazy red with a lasting, thick, frothy, tan head. Aroma of acetaldehyde (red & green apple), raisin, herbs, black tea, orange peel, moist pepper, vague toast. Taste has red & green apple, some orange, somewhat estery in essence, bitter herbs & pepper with a toasty edge. Dry, earthy hoppy finish, 'hoppy' orange peel, apple, tea leaves. Medium body, oily texture, lively carbonation. Overcarbonated & with an 'infected' quality to it, but tastewise it more or less makes up for that.

330ml bottle. Cloudy, dark amber colour with average to huge, firm, frothy, moderately lasting and lacing, off-white to beige head. Slightly toasty malty and slightly citrusy hoppy aroma, hints of milk chocolate, mandarine, a touch of caramel and toffee. Taste is slightly dry, minimalyl sweet, toasty malty, hints of caramel, toffee, milk chocolate, citrusy fruity hoppy hints of mandarine and orange zest. Prickly carbonation. Rather light, refreshing, not as dark as I'd expect a BIPA to be. OK.

33cl bottle from Beer Mania beer store in Brussels. F: thin, off-white, quick gone. C: coppery, light hazy. A: orange, tangerine, bit mellow tropical fruits. T: medium malty base, orange, grapefruits, tropical mix fruits, nice long lasting bitterness, soft to medium carbonation, bit too pale colour yet very nice for the style, enjoyed for sure.
