Tap at Strangeloves, PHL, 30/11/13. Hazed orange amber with a big ole egg shell white head. Nose is Belgian yeast, spice, orange peel, corriander. Taste comprises bitter fruits, clove, spice, yeast esters, lemon rind, straw, earthy farmyard qualities, tarte peach. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, tangy fruit and spice in the finale. Solid Belgian offering - NOT a golden blonde!

From tap at Local 44. Pours hazy orange with a small creamy white head. Aroma is fruity, light citric and mild spiced. Toasted malty and light fruity. Bitter and slight herbal. Ends dry and bitter. Bitter dry finish.

Local 44, Philadelphia tap ($5): Pours golden with a white head. Aroma is bretty, with broad, and some funk. Taste is somewhat bitter. Nice finish. Overall, ’tis a good beer. I believe this is the right rating (Local 44).
