The Hopfish - a brilliant little thing. Catch one and reminisce about the classic days of IPAs fortified by multiple additions of hops and balanced with the residual sweetness of caramel malts. The Hopfish is always ready to take on the harsh conditions of the ever changing beer world.

Bottle pours a hazy dingy orange coor with a huge sandy colored head. Aroma is definately hops but its a bit off. Papery and of wood and some orange. Nice malty and bitter hop combo. Not over the top hoppiness. Decent all around.

12oz bottle pours out a light amber topped with a tall cream head. Very light hops and a little nut. A little sweet but not much else. thanks Indiana_red

It has a pale amber body witha head that descends neither quickly nor slowly. Smells like pine needles and hops. Actually, this is probably the piniest beer that I have ever smelled. Taste is pretty much straight hops... unlike other IPAs, this one is not really fruity at all. Dry and nutty on top of that. A nice and drinkable IPA... worth drinking another one methinks.

Bottled at Oliver Twist, Stockholm. Clear dark amber, minimal head. Peachy nose. very dry and lightly appley, fairly light bodied. Kind of bland for an IPA and with disturbing green apples. Finishes with medium bitterness.

Bottle: Orange/golden pour with a very thick and fluffy off-white head. Aroma is rich of citrus amd floral hops- lots of grapefruit. Taste is sweet then sour with tons of floral and citrus hops in the tail. Clean and dry finish leaves the hops on the tip of your tongue. Very tasty. Thanks DocLock!

(Bottle 35,5 cl) Pours a clear, dark amber with a small, off-white head. Incredibly fresh, grapefruity nose. Rather light body with some caramel and some fresh aroma hops. Tasted at the Oklahoma Beer tasting March 06 hosted by mjames and lilannie. 250306

A refreshing lemon-pine hop blast initially greets the nose, interwoven with more subtle hints of dough and biscuits. Interesting spicy notes hint at oregano. Smooth and well balanced, with a clean yet firm and sweet malt profile, with a backgound of lemony citrus hops, and a medium bitter finish. Resiny hop aromas develop as it sits and warms. There’s just something a little off about the finish, maybe a tartness to the bittering hops, with a dryness showing where the initially sweet malts disappear at the back of the palate. Very easily drinkable, it just disappears out of the glass! Nice amber color with a full foaming head that settles down to a firm cap with good lacing.
