At bierfestival Bad Staffelstein. Hazy light orangy color, medium sized off-white head. Aroma is very distinctive and quite exceptional for a local German bierfestival I must say. Really pleasant in between all the lagers kellers weizens and dunkels. Lovely hoppy aroma and flavor, nice hop bitterness. Just a bit too carbonated but I don't mind now. Well done. A hidden gem in this pils-ruled country I'd say, although I don't mean that in a negative way I should add. I wanted to drink pils, keller and rauchbier this holiday but it still is a welcome and unexpected find amongst all those standard local beer specialities. 8-3-8-3-14.

On tap at the brewpub. A hazy orange golden beer with a off white head. Aroma of grapefruit, orange fruits, zest, resins. Taste of intense bitter orange fruits, grapefruit, zest, tangerine, long bitter finish. Great!

Hoe komt dit verzeild op een festival in Bad Staffelstein? Verder is het bier of weizen dat je kan bestellen, en een uitzonderlijke rauch

hazy amber with a medium white head. Aroma had hints of fruity hops. Flavour likewise. Finished dry and bitter. Nothing wrong, just not fresh as this style needs to be.

Tap(Fest der Staffelsteiner Bierbrauer 2014): Presumably deep golden and hazy (served in a Stein…), small off-white head; mild grainy nose, some noble hops detectable; barely moderate bitter-sweet flavour, relatively soft; shy grapefruity-piney aromas in the slightly lingering and soft hoppy finish.Nice, but not completely convincing…

At the Bad Staffelstein Bierfest, 15 August 2014. Deep amber with a frothy, off-white, head. Big, mandarin fruits throughout, with plenty of grassy hops, light malts and a moderately bitter finish. Good.
