New England Bucket List Trip #208. Keg at the brewpub. Pours a dark brown with a large creamy tan head. Good head retention. Aroma of chocolate, roasted malt, toffee, dark fruits. The taste is dark fruit, dark roasted malt, dark chocolate, tobacco. Medium bodied, chewy, well balanced.

Sampled from a growler this beer poured thick and black with a trace soapy brown head that faded quickly and left no lacing. The aroma was dry, roasty and a bit smoky. The flavor was bitter, dry, roasty and smoky with a hint of vanilla. Medium length finish. Medium body. Meh.
