Keg at The Ace Hotel. Clear golden body with with a fluffy white head. No visible carbonation. Good lacing. Aroma of grain and lemon. Flavour of grass and lemon peel. Thin body with a watery, slightly oily texture. Soft fizz. Simple and sharp. Decent.

Tap at Thirsty Moose, Portsmouth. Color is clear golden with small white head. Aromas and flavors: Some fruits, some sweetness, grain and malts. Quite sweet and unhoppy.

Draft at The Ginger Man, NYC. Clear pale straw, white head. Aroma of grains, pils malt. Taste is grains, pils malt, green apple notes.

Draft at The Brewery at Trapp Family Lodge in Stowe, VT. Clear pale yellow pour with no head. Has a hoppy bite to it, but less than the 42 IBU would suggest. Good example of the style.

Bottle from skippys 40th birthday. Pours golden with a large white head. Light floral grasses aroma. Flavornis crisp bitter grasses, light citrusy notes. This isn’t great but it’s not bad.

16 oz can from Half Time. Clear golden, foamy white head. Fairly bright aroma, grass, herbal hops, rice, lemon, and a bit of spice. Dry, grassy flavor. Good, but not outstanding mouthfeel. A pretty tasty pils, but not a top of style palate, we rich is really what I’m looking for from a great pils.

From tap. Pours hazy yellow, small white head. Aroma is mild grassy, light malty. Bitter, grassy, straw, slight herbal. Grassy and dry far finish.

Bottle pour into nonic pint glass. Appearance is hazy greenish-yellow with mild sparkle, finger-width white fizzy head with poor retention and sparse lacing. Aroma is bread, biscuit, light Munich malt, light fruit--grape?, and champagne-like yeastiness. Taste is strong cracker malt and light fruitiness, mixed with stronger European hop bitterness. Palate is light-to-medium bodied with lightly fizzy texture, average carbonation and dry crackery-bitter finish. Overall, I’m not high on the style as a whole, but there is a fair amount going on here, all things being equal.

Been craving a Pils for the last few weeks. Grabbed this 6-pack at the local store. Bets by 4/20/2017. poured into a tall german glass. tan yellow head. lots of tiny bubbles. Looks golden yellow. Nose is a Saaz bomb with corn, rice, lemon, pine. Decent carb, filling and brings on the burps. Very crisp, refreshing until the finish when you get a cereal like flavor with honey and pine.

This was poured into a pilsner glass.
The appearance was a straw yellow color with a two finger’s worth of white foamy head that dissipates at a nice pace. Moderate thin stringy lace.
The aroma takes in sharp spicy Saaz hops (grassy bitter harsh) and let’s it flow over a nice contrast of sweet biscuits. Evens out nicely.
The flavor takes in a nice blend of the previously mentioned aromas to boot. Light
balanced aftertaste of biscuits/breadiness to grassy hops and that rides into the finish.
On the palate, this one sat about a light on the body with a fabulous sessionability about it. Low carbonation seems to hit appropriately. Spicy hops balance with their sharpness over my tongue.Overall, really nice Czech pilsner that I would have again.
