Did ya hear? Our super secret fourth Bo & Luke variant has been revealed! This Amburana wood variant has been in the works for a couple years thanks to our brewmaster Jerry and his trips to Brazil. Not many people in the US are taking advantage of this unique, pungent wood, so we're taking the lead (per usual).

OK, so the wood indeed makes a massive difference. This one is less sharp, medium smokey but very herbal and sweet. Even some coconut-like flavors, vanilla? Also just as great as the others, in its own way. Good fun to compare! --- Beer merged from original tick of Bo & Luke (Amburana Wood) (2017) on 25 Aug 2021 at 12:01

Bottle @ Tidens Farver, Aarhus. Pours very dark brown with a creamy brown head. Aroma of roasted malt, caramel, chocolate, light smoke, spicy wood, light vanilla, heavy cinnamon, chocolate cake. Flavor is light sweet, fairly spicy, roast malt, caramel, chocolate, mild wood smoke, vanilla, cinnamon, light alcohol. Medium body, average carbonation, quite dry spicy finish with light warming alcohol. Nice despite the spicyness. 210918

Bottle. Cinnamon, wood, bourbon, lightly smoky chocolate malt, and hay aroma. Dark brown with large brown head. Moderately sweet cinnamon/nutmeg, smoked ham, chocolate malt, and moderately bitter hay/alcohol flavor. Body lighter than expected - nice balance. Nice - like what the Amburana wood adds to the beer.
