As anyone who has curated an extensive barrel program understands, every so often a barrel or a set of barrels stands apart from the rest for reasons completely unknown. With all things being equal - time, patience, environment - seemingly by chance these magic barrels mythically elevate above those around them. Tree of Hope is our first representation of such a chance.

Artfully blended for perfect balance with threads of select 26-month-old barrel-aged barleywine, originally brewed with a hefty dose of oats, and combined with standout barrels of 22-month-old barrel-aged barleywine, Tree of Hope is the smoothest, most decadent barrel-aged barleywine we have had the pleasure of enjoying. We taste and smell molten caramel, bourbon-soaked toffee candy, rich vanilla oak, dark raisins, tootsie rolls, dark brown sugar, and sweet bourbon. As it warms it reveals layers and layers of intriguing depth and complexity - wow! This beer is intended to be savored and enjoyed on a special occasion. It is best when shared - Enjoy!

Toffee, caramel, dark fruit, barrel, sliky smooth and not overly sweet. Well balanced and easy to sip. ABV is well hidden.
