A Thousand Summers is a true milestone for our brewery, and it all started with access to some amazing barrels. Some years back we were introduced to a decadent and unique cherry wine while at a festival in Copenhagen. It was love at first sip. We were extremely fortunate later to acquire four French oak puncheons that previously held Frederiksdal cherry wine. Barrels of this caliber deserve to be filled with only the best one’s beer, so we devised a simple but elegant Saison that we then aged on Matsumoto Family Farm “Summer Grand” nectarines. The result is sublime. Flowery descriptors do little to articulate the magic in this bottle; you’ll surely each come up with your own. We are so proud to share A Thousand Summers with you, our friends. To many more, Sante!

750 ml bottle purchased at Sante Adairius Oakland Arbor in Oakland, California shared at a tasting. The pour is a hazed yellow gold with a white head that falls quickly. The aroma is barnyard, citrus and light funk. The taste is bright citric acidity, somewhat funky cherry, nectarine wheat Saison, nice barrel and soft white wine notes. The palate is medium bodied with soft fine carbonation and the lingering citric barrel acidity. Nice one.

From bottle at Ulfborg tasting 2019/06. Thank you Mike! Light unclear golden color with white head. Yeasty aroma, tart citrus, light funky, mineral notes, nectarines, light wood. Sweet and acidic taste. Light almost oily body with soft carbonation.

[ As Sante Adairius A Thousand Summers ].
ABV: 7.6%. Cloudy medium yellow colour with a small, fizzy and open, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, wheat, moderate hoppy, fruity hops, moderate yeasty, barnyard, leather, fruity yeast, flowers, stone fruit. Flavor is moderate sweet and light acidicr with a long duration, fruity hops, tart, funky, citric, grapes, nectarine, stone fruit, oak, balance. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft. [20190615]
