Brazil conjures up imagery of dense jungle and long white sandy beaches, probably with lager in hand. What you might not expect is long warm evenings, sat over an Imperial Stout with roasted cocoa nibs and coconut. This is a big chocolatey collaboration with prominent coconut character was borne from an award-winning recipe from the team at Sunset Brewery.

Tap @ Mig & Ølsnedkeren. Very dark brown with small beige head. Aroma is roasted malt, chocolate, coffee, caramel and coconut. Flavour is roasted malt, chocolate, coffee, caramel, coconut, sweet, little liquorice, sweet, warming and medium bitter.

Taster at brewery. Near black pour, skin of head. Sweet coconut aroma, some chocolate. Taste continues with this Mounds bar feel, but perfectly balanced. This is screaming for some rum Barrel aging.

Keg at the Queens Road Tap, Leicester. Dark brown with some noticeable translucency. Beige ring of head leaving some lacing. Scent is all coconut, with a light milk chocolate note. Sweet taste almost all the way through, with a gentle hop balance in the bittersweet finish. Toasted coconut in the aftertaste.Very nice.

Can big thanks to Mark. It pours jet black with a small beige head. The aroma is sweet, oily, loads of toasted coconut, chocolate cake, bounty bar and sweet roast. The taste is dry, bitter - sweet, rich roasted malt, oily, toasted coconut, boozy, raw, cacao nibs, ashy, earthy roast, coffee, tar and burnt toast with a drying finish. Medium body and fine, prickly carbonation. Really nice aroma, but a touch burnt on the taste. Not bad.

Sample tray, draught at Fourpure Taproom. Spotty lacing from a patchy, beige head. Dark body with a deep ruby shade. Coconut nose. Mostly coconut to the taste profile, moments of chocolate. Dry and sweet to the ending. Does not taste that strong. Okay, a bit unvaried. (Shared with Finn, Bermondsey, London 29.09.2018).

Caña en Cimmeria 06..10.. 2018. (r30). Color negro intenso con espuma beige oscuro que desaparece al poco. Sabores maltosos tostados con buena dosis de coco y vainillas que se nota en sabor y aroma. Suaves Maltas tostadas y especiados. Cuerpo medio con buena sensación alcohólica, fina y ligeramente densa en boca. Bastante buena para repetir sin duda.

Sample at SBWF 2018. Black with a small tan head. Aroma of dark malt, chocolate, coconut and caramel. The same in the taste. Fairly smooth mouthfeel and the body was almost full. A pleasant one.

On tap at the brewery Bermondsey. Black beer lasting beige head. Roasted coconut aroma. Light chocolate aroma. Lots of coconut some chocolate some dryness. Some fullness in th mouth. OK. Depends if you like roasted coconut. Bit rich.
