Brazil conjures up imagery of dense jungle and long white sandy beaches, probably with lager in hand. What you might not expect is long warm evenings, sat over an Imperial Stout with roasted cocoa nibs and coconut. This is a big chocolatey collaboration with prominent coconut character was borne from an award-winning recipe from the team at Sunset Brewery.

Can from Park Fever, Hither Green. Dark brown pour with a beige head. Aromas of dark chocolate, raisin, coconut, sweet tobacco, spice. Flavours of coconut, black butter, chocolate, vanilla. Sweet spice and butter in the finish. Interesting.

Keg at the brewery tap. A chestnut reddy brown coloured pour with a a lasting light tan head. Aroma is sweet coconut cream, oily sun tan lotion, summer holiday, milky chocolate. Oily. Flavour is composed of milky chocolate, pineapple, pina colada, coconut, desecated coconut.. Little jammy fruit in the finish and a hint of spice. Palate is oily, semi sweet, rounded. Not bad.

Keg at the brewery taproom. Pours clear red-town with a creamy, off-white head. Dark malts in the nosedried fruits, hints of cocoa. Medium sweet flavour, soft roast, more cocoa, dried dark fruits and berries, light bitterness. Medium to full bodied, lightly oily, with fine carbonation. Warming finish some creamy chocolate and toffee, more dark fruits. Enjoyable.
