Alyston’s Ordinary the very first flagship beer for Concrete Blues. The English bitter is a go to beer style of mine. If it’s on a beer menu I will have ask for that everytime. The style has inspired me in a lot of ways, some notable ordinary ales Id like to mention such as Boddington’s bitter, Coniston Bluebird, Fullers London’s Pride, and Timothy Taylor’s Landlord are some of my favorites. Hence why I decided to the name after myself, these beers may be simple but also carry a lot characteristics. This pub ale was brewed with some of my favorite ingredients such as Maris Otter, biscuit Malt and Oats while just simply hopped with East Kent Goldings & Cascade, with an 3.5% ABV. I intend to always have the Ordinary available in cask and served on the beer engine, as well draft and cans.

Cask at GBBF 25. Opaque amber. Thing foamy white head with a mahoosive bald patch. Aroma has low key sugary fruit and light sour edge. Flavourwise it's the same as the aroma. Light-medium bodied. Slick. Soft-fizzy carbonation. Long dry slightly astringent finish. Bland as.

Meetinghouse on cask: pours copper with loose cask head. Earthy and malty. Light sharp bitterness. Correct body. Very clean. This guy clearly is brewing this style as a labor of love, and it shows.
