A nice dark complex beer, but hides the alcohol a lot for the style. Good beer, average imp stout. Varvar Odessa

Bottle, 330 ml, courtesy of kajser27. Shared with him and Max. Black with beige head. Roasted, malty, chocolate, bitter finish. Just a tad metallic at first. Medium bodied.

Opaque dark brown, espresso head. Smells like dark crystal sugars, minimal cooking chocolate, some alcohol soaked prunes. No roasty, coffee, chocolate notes. Mundane, but passable. Similar taste - mostly dark sugars and alcohol, moderate hoppy bitterness. Not bad in a way - resembles those old style, macro-swallowed Baltic porters - but not up to the quality of modern micro impies.

Tap @ VAF 2018 / 01.12. Dark brown with some brown foam. Nose is chocolaty, some tart notes, wet roasted malts. Tastes sweet, chocolaty and creamy. Quite dry and decent bitterness there. Black fruits and tart notes from them. Not bad although maybe a tad simple.

Bottle 33 cl. Pours an opaque jet black with a thick and creamy, light brown head. Sweet soy aroma, not so much roast. Rich, malty body, brown sugar and molasses and again savory soy notes. I may be mistaken, in which case I apologize, but it appears that a lot of the fermentables in here are not malt. Doesn't taste bad, just doesn't have that all-malt feel. 110618

Bottle - Dark sticky sweet roast. Deep brown with a small light brown head. Dark sweet malts, dark raisin and a sweet finish. A bit sweet, but pleasant.
