Summer Saison was brewed with all locally grown and malted grains including @rabbit_hill_malthouse floor malted pilsner, red wheat, and malted oats.
It was hopped lightly in the kettle with Zuper Saazer and Nelson Sauvin which provide the beer with balancing bitterness as well as floral, herbal, and fruity summertime aromas and flavors.
Summer Saison was then fermented dry with a locally sourced yeast strain originating from a small farmhouse brewery along the French / Belgian border that lends its pleasant fruity esters and a subtle tartness.
We get notes of summertime wildflowers, bright lemon, orange blossom honey, fresh herb garden, peppery spice, gooseberry, clementine, and forest dew.

Draught at Urban: pours hazy yellow with a white head. Aroma is straw, herbs, yeasty. Dry, yeasty. Fine.

16 ounce can. Hazy, straw gold color. Large, pillowy white head. Aroma is a wonderful combination of earthy yeast, bready malt and fragrant citrus. Flavor is slightly sweet citrus, a touch of farmhouse funk and a hint of white peppercorns. Extremely flavorful and mildly complex. Notes of lemongrass, clove, tangerine and lime zest. Outstanding!

16 oz can from the Source, 7/28/21. Canned 7/7/21. Source rating #111, look at that. Hazy yellowish color with a white head. Bright, yeasty, and citrusy. Lemon forward. Pepper and grass. Nice dryness level. Crisp and clean. Tingly and dry on the close. Another really quality Saison from the Source.
