How do you describe a beer style that doesn’t exist? We are calling it an Amber Stout. The name may have you stuttering but the beer will smooth you right out. This strong ale mimics a glass of butterscotch due to a blend of oats, lactose, and Belgian dark candi sugar. We back all that up with a dash of butterscotch candy. You may just think about your grandma’s purse candies!

Draught at source: pours copper with white head. Aroma is butterscotch and maltiness. Lightly bitter. Not too sweet. Drinkable but one-dimensional.

On tap. Hazy amber color and disappearing off white head. A-butterscotch / maple syrup. T-follows with some chocolate.

On tap at brewery. Number one with a bullet. Amber gold pour. Creamy tan head. Sweet butterscotch aroma. Flavor is sweet butterscotch, caramel and vanilla. Tastes like cream soda with a kick. Different.
