Hamburg's beer tradition is closely linked to the Hanseatic League. Beer was exported from Hamburg 500 years ago. We brew this beer as a reminder of this important part of Hamburg's history. Pils is perhaps the most casually drunk drink. Going ashore is our alternative.

500 ml can purchased as part of the 2020 Costco Advent Calendar at the Costco in Overland Park, Kansas. Exp 2022/06 printed on the bottom of the can. The pour is a clear golden with a bunch of effervescent fine bubbles building up a lasting one inch foamy white head. The aroma is sweet floral malt grain along with a hint of spice. The taste is clean grass, floral, soft herbal, hint of spice and finishes with cereal grain malt. The palate is light to medium bodied, soft carbonation and the grain finish. Solid.

Clear medium golden colour, small frothy white head, mostly diminishing. Aroma sweet malt, grain, wort, grassy hops. Taste medium sweet and bitter, malty, grain, hay. Medium body, oily texture, soft carbonation, rather dry sweetbitter aftertaste, cardboard, bit peppery, mineral notes, decent dry pilsner.
