This double decoction beauty uses equal parts Vienna and Munich with a pinch of Farbmalz for color. The double decoction mash employed is very different than our usual double decoction process, but was well worth the effort, Prost!

My 40th Human Robot rating. 16 ounce can from The Haus Jenkintown brewery. Deep amber orange color is topped by a frothy tan head. Toasted malt aroma. Flavor is tangy malt and caramel. Spicy, herbal hops. A bit more body and flavor than their Festbier. Prost!

Draught at source: pours deep amber with off white head. Aroma is herbal, light caramel, some flowers. Taste is lightly bitter. Not too sweet. Good malt character.

On tap at the brewery. Pours orange gold with small white head that lasts. The aroma is toasted malt and bread. Slick body, raisin, leather, bread, light finish, very good.
