Port barrel-aged imperial stout
Step into Fireproof and experience distiller-and-Bruer collaboration on a whole new level. Alongside our friends at Balcones Distilling out of Waco, Texas, we aged our Bayonet stout in port barrels that previously aged Balcones’ Hechicheros single malt whisky, resulting in a complex beer beautifully showcasing Balcones’ barrel character. Aromas of molasses, pumpernickel, and dried plums rise to greet you ahead of notes of toasted oak, dark chocolate, and toasted wheat bread.

Bottle shared at mini-tasting. Opaque jet black color, average sized brown colored head. Aroma is malts, heavy barrel, port I guess. Flavor is malts, vanilla, barrel / port, dark malts, sweet, boozy. Velvety mouthfeel, thick texture, average carbonation. Very solid.
