0.5l bottle. Black body with a quickly collapsing brown head. Aroma and taste of licorice, coffee and roasted malts. Traces of berries show up but only in the background. The finish has some floral hop bitterness to it. The texture is silky, the carbonation is low. The sweet malty taste with notes of coffee and licorice stays in the mouth after the sip for a while. Nice one.

0.5 bottle. Baltic porter brewed for Lidl. The label is simple, but not ugly. The cap is :) the color is nice, which is brown, with a mahogany tint. The foam disappeared immediately. Coffee, aromatic, not bad, but it smells like quality coffee. The taste is great, a really pleasant disappointment. Sweet, roasted malt, a little caramel next to the coffee base. The aftertaste is quality coffee. Carbonation, a little alcohol nicely hidden. I liked it, I think it turned out to be a well-made port beer.

A Lidl-nek főzött baltic porter.

bottle from lidl dark brown with a light brown head. Nutty and roasted malty aroma, not bad. alc. is clearly notceable though, with a phenolic sensation to it. makes me think of mikkeller black, as i remember it, it was also somewhat phenolic (but also much, much stronger). flavor is roasted malts, charred wood, almost no sweetness, but lots of woody and roasted and hard roasted malty notes. there is a somewhat strange boozy bitter note that i don't like much. could be the phenolic aroma , just the tasting part of that. anyway, for sure drinkable, you might be able to get used to this and have yourself a pretty cheap baltic porter.
