Stead Ale is a foeder fermented Farmhouse Ale, brewed with European Pilsner, Oats, and Wheat, that is Double Dry Hopped with New Zealand Rakau and Simcoe. Fermented with our house culture of S. diastaticus and Brettanomyces, the aroma of Stead Ale is that of delicate grain and intense tropical fruit, soft spicy cracked white peppercorns, and bright citrus peel with a dry finish.

330mL bottle, pours an opaque, dull orange with a small white head. Aroma is rather dirty, with a very filthy yeastiness that dominates. Flavour is vile, with a truly putrid yeast character that must be revealing some sort phenolic or other infection. Completely undrinkable, awful garbage. Something went way wrong here.

Sampled from the tap at the brewery. Pours a clear pale yellow with a white head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has light tart fruits and a melon note with some melon and grain backing. Flavor has a combination of grass and melon with a hint of herbal notes in the finish.

From Nikita: pours golden. Hefty earthy brett. Light earth, very yeast focused. Hefty in its own way for the small size.

Tap at green bench brewery, St Pete, with Jj. A hazed golden yellow coloured pour with a fine white head. Aroma is nice Bubblegum, pollen, wheaty grains, grass.. Flavour is composed of semi sweet light grains, grass, bubble gum, pollen, pithy mineral. Palate is semi sweet, crisp. Highish carbonation. Firm.
