In the style of Schlenkerla Helles, NO smoked malt was used. We used the yeast from a previous batch of Rauchschloss to carry the smoke flavor to the beer. This is the exact same grain bill as our regular Rösten Helles but has a delightful kiss of smoke brought from the yeast. We hope you enjoy as much as we do.

16 oz can from Human Robot, Jenkintown, 1/31/25. Pours a mostly clear golden color with a white head and strong lace. Grains, grass, light spice, but of smoke. Clean and very drinkable. Tasty stuff.

16 ounce can from Jenkintown brewery. Yellow gold color. Pillowy white head. Grainy malt nose has the slightest hint of smoke. Flavor is light and grainy malt. Just a touch of smokiness in middle. Herbal, grassy hops on backend. Nicely done.

Snallygaster 2023. Pours bright gold. Smoke, smoked wood, peach, apricot, lemon. Medium body. Decent.

At source: pours golden with white head. Aroma is grainy, bready, slightly herbal and with a hint of smoke. Taste has a smoky note, clean. Smoky hint works great with the graininess. Excellent.
